How to Re-authenticate the QuickBooks Online connection

You may occasionally need to re-authenticate the connection to QuickBooks Online. To do so, simply follow the steps below. (Note that even though the screenshots were captured in RouteStarOnline, the process is exactly the same for TheServiceProgramOnline users).

  1. First, navigate to the QuickBooks Dashboard (QB icon in the upper right hand corner)
  2. Click on Manage QBO Connection in the upper right of that page
  3. A new tab will open. On that tab, press the 'Connect to QuickBooks' button.
  4. This will open a new window. On that window you'll need to sign into a QuickBooks Online account that has admin privileges and hit 'Connect'. 
  5. After connecting you can close that window, close the QBO connection browser tab, and then run a sync on the QB Dashboard using the 'Sync Everything' button to ensure the connection is re-established.
