Printek FieldPro Series Printer Setup for Android Devices

This document covers how to setup Printek FieldPro Series printers to use with RouteStar Online. The list of compatible printers is shown below.

Step 1: Enable pairing mode on the printer
  • Turn on the printer and ensure it is in a discoverable state.
  • Some Printek printers enter pairing mode by holding the FEED button for 5-8 seconds.
  • A flashing Bluetooth LED or icon may indicate it is ready to pair.
  • For some models, you may need to hold both the POWER and FEED buttons simultaneously until you hear a beep, then release. The printer will then show a flashing LED as it resets.

Step 2: Pair the printer from your Android device
  • On your Android device, open the Settings app.
  • Go to Bluetooth (it may be under Connected devices or Connections).
  • Turn on Bluetooth, and your device will scan for available printers.
  • Select the printer from the list of available devices. It may appear as its serial number or a default name.
  • If prompted, enter a PIN. Common PINs include 0000 or 1234.
  • Confirm the pairing is successful on both the device and the printer if prompted.

Step 3: Install the Printek Print Demo App on your Android Phone or Tablet

Step 4: Setup the default Android Print Service

On your Android device, open the Settings app and tap on the magnifying glass to search.

Search the settings for "Printing" and tap on the option labeled "Printing".

Tap on Printing again in the More Connection Settings Screen

Make sure Printek Print Service is turned on, we recommend turning off the other ones so it only attempts to print to the printer you paired earlier.

Tap on the Printek Print Service option to see more details and ensure you printer is listed.

If the printer is not listed, press the 3 buttons in the top right and then select "Add Printer". (Skip this step if you already see your printer listed)

Tap the Bluetooth icon to add a new Bluetooth printer (Skip this step if you already see your printer listed)
