How to disable Microsoft Word AutoCorrect feature
Microsoft Word 2007 and 2010
- Open Microsoft Word.
- Click the File tab.
- Click on Options.
- In the Word Options window, click the Proofing option.
- Click the AutoCorrect Options... button
On the AutoCorrect tab, a user will be able to disable features he or she dislikes, such as the auto capitalization of first letters of sentences and disable this feature all together.
Users can also add new automatic corrections on words they commonly mistype or remove words they do not want automatically corrected.

- Open Microsoft Word.
- Click Format and then AutoFormat.
- Click the Options... button.
- Click the AutoCorrect tab.
